Marcy Graham Received Classroom Dedication at Missouri Law

On September 8, the University of Missouri School of Law dedicated a classroom to Maurice B. “Marcy” Graham, President of Gray Ritter Graham. Graham is a two-time Missouri graduate, earning a BA and JD at the University of Missouri. He has been a frequent speaker and author in the areas of litigation and legal ethics while at Gray Ritter Graham.

More than 100 people gathered at the dedication to honor Graham including University of Missouri School of Law faculty and staff, alumni and donors to the Marcy Graham Classroom project, Gray Ritter Graham attorneys and former classmates and friends of Graham. Friends and colleagues of Marcy have cumulatively contributed over $100,000 to provide physical updates and dedicate a classroom in honor of Graham.

The former Suite 332, now Maurice B. “Marcy” Classroom, is one of the most-used rooms at the law school for classes and events. Featuring new carpet, paint, classroom technology, tables and chairs, the Marcy Graham Classroom is now one of the most advanced classrooms at Missouri Law. “The modernized Maurice B. “Marcy” Graham Classroom will remind future law students that they too can make a difference. I’m grateful for Marcy’s many years of service.”, says Mun Choi, President of the University of Missouri.

Many spoke at the dedication including University of Missouri School of Law Dean Paul Litton, University of Missouri President Mun Choi, former Chief Justice of the Missouri Supreme Court Ann Convington and Don Downing and Morry Cole, both attorneys of Gray Ritter Graham. Graham was described at the dedication as “always being generous with his time for mentees and lives life with purpose and integrity” (Choi). At the end of the celebration, Graham was surprised with a Mizzou Football shirt in recognition of his time as a linebacker in high school and college.

Graham’s accolades include a Special Merit Citation from the American Judicature Society in 1989 and a Citation of Merit from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1988. In 1992, Graham was honored by the University of Missouri with a Distinguished Alumni Award. Graham was a member of the University of Missouri Board of Curators, serving as Chairman in 2017. He served as President of the University of Missouri Law School Foundation, and a Trustee of the Jefferson Club. Graham also served as Chairman of the University of Missouri-Columbia Law School’s $17 million endowment campaign. Video of Dedication
