Medical Bills, Insurance Coverage, Police Reports

Catastrophic car accidents are — thankfully — a rare event for most people and they may not have the experience to know how to deal with the situation. Gray, Ritter & Graham in St. Louis has handled car accident claims and other personal injury matters since 1946. We are pleased to answer any questions you may have regarding what to do or what your legal rights are following a car accident.

Personal Injury Lawyers

After a serious car accident injury, there are numerous details for the injured person and the family to deal with. If you have been injured, your medical care and recovery should be your primary concerns. Working with the insurance company and filing personal injury claims can be handled by experienced GRG personal injury lawyers looking after your best interests. If you have questions, we have answers based on more than 60 years of experience.

  • How will my medical bills be paid? If you have health insurance, that is the first source of medical payments. Your insurance settlement after an accident should cover all medical expenses plus pain and suffering. Your GRG lawyer can help you understand your rights.
  • What if the person who hit me is uninsured or underinsured? We will review your car insurance policy to see if you have uninsured motorist coverage. We can also determine if underinsured motorist coverage (“UIM”) is available to you.
  • Should I talk to the insurance company? You are obligated to report the car accident to your own insurance company.
  • What about the other person’s insurance company? Be aware that the goal of the other driver’s insurance company may be to protect their policyholder and their company. Be careful about making any statements to an insurance adjustor, who will most likely be recording the conversation. It is best to leave any communications with the other insurance company to your attorney.
  • Do I need the police reports? Yes, but that’s one of the first steps we will take when you retain GRG for your car accident case.

At GRG, our clients are our only priority.
