Jury Returns Record $10.8 Million Medical Malpractice Verdict
A St. Louis County jury rendered a $10.8 million verdict against a doctor in a medical malpractice lawsuit in which Gray Ritter Graham attorney Maurice Graham served as plaintiffs' lead counsel. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of the husband and children of Shannon Dodson after her death in February 2011. She died following a heart catheterization proceeding. The verdict was rendered against Mercy Clinic Heart and Vascular, LLC, and Dr. Robert P. Ferrara, an interventional cardiologist. The jury deliberated approximately two hours before rendering their decision. The verdict is believed to be the largest verdict rendered in St. Louis County in a medical negligence case. John Simon of The Simon Law Firm also represented the plaintiffs. To learn more details, click here and here.
