GRG Accepting Farmers’ Dicamba Damage Cases
Farmers, have you suffered dicamba-related damage? Gray Ritter Graham, a firm with a proven history of representing farmers economically hurt through the actions of others, is here to help.
Dicamba is the active ingredient in several broad-spectrum herbicides. Due to the introduction of dicamba-resistant seeds, use of these herbicides over-the-top during the crop season has been made possible in recent years. Dicamba-resistant herbicides are highly volatile and prone to moving to off-target crops after application.
Dicamba has extreme negative effects on broad-leaf plants, including trees, fruits, vegetables, and various crops, especially soybeans. Soybeans are highly sensitive to dicamba, even in trace amounts. A soybean plant damaged by dicamba suffers significant loss of pods throughout the stem, reduced number of beans per pod, and discoloration and cupping of the leaves of the plant.
Farmers around the country have filed thousands of complaints regarding dicamba damage. Nationally, approximately 2,200 dicamba-related injury investigations have been or are being conducted with more than 3.6 million acres of soybeans demonstrating signs of dicamba damage.
