Gas Explosion Victims Verdict

$4.5 Million Wrongful Death Lawsuit Verdict

Gray Ritter Graham obtained a jury verdict for the parents of a young man who was at home when the family house exploded. It was determined that the gas company, in the process of installing a gas barbeque, had failed to properly “flare” the gas line. Over the course of several years, the pipe had slowly come apart, leading to an eventual large leak and explosion.

The young man suffered for several weeks with horrible burns before eventually succumbing to his injuries.

A verdict of $4,500,000 was obtained by GRG attorney Patrick Hagerty. The case went up on appeal to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, where it was affirmed.
