Downing Receives “Influential Lawyer” Award at Missouri Lawyers Weekly Awards Luncheon

Gray Ritter Graham attorney Don Downing received a 2018 “Influential Lawyer” Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly at the newspaper’s 2018 Awards luncheon January 26, 2018.  He and attorney Pat Stueve were recognized for their work on as co-lead plaintiff counsel in the first of eight statewide class action lawsuits certified to date in the Syngenta corn MDL. Don, Pat and the two other co-lead counsel represented more than 7,000 Kansas corn growers in the bellwether litigation. In June 2017, after a three-week trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiffs of $217.7 million, which was 100 percent of the compensatory damages requested.  To read the Missouri Lawyers Weekly article on Don's award, click here.
