Super Lawyers® has honored Gray Ritter Graham attorney Don Downing, who joins four others on this year’s Missouri-Kansas Super Lawyers 20th Anniversary cover story, "If You Want to be a Lawyer, Go Be One".

Super Lawyers® placed Gray Ritter Graham attorneys Maurice Graham, Joan Lockwood, and Morry Cole, among Top 50 group of attorneys in St. Louis or the two-state region of Missouri and Kansas. Morry Cole joined the Top 100 group and Joan Lockwood is in the Top 50 Women.

In total 9 Gray Ritter Graham attorneys have been selected to the list of 2024 Super Lawyers by “Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers” magazine:  Maurice Graham, Stephen Woodley, Patrick Hagerty, Don Downing, Joan Lockwood, Morry Cole, Gretchen Garrison, Thomas Neill, and M. Graham Dobbs.

In the individual practice categories, Graham, Woodley, Hagerty and Dobbs were selected in the Personal Injury Medical Malpractice: Plaintiff category; Lockwood, Cole, and Neill were selected in the Personal Injury General: Plaintiff practice category; Downing in the Class Action Litigation category: and Garrison in the Business Litigation category.

Jack Downing was named to the 2024 “Missouri & Kansas Rising Stars” list in the area of Class Action Litigation. Michael Figenshau was named to the 2024 “Missouri & Kansas Rising Stars” list in the area of Personal Injury General. To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less. This list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state.

The Super Lawyers listing is an annual multi-stage process that includes surveys of attorneys from the two states to identify attorneys with a high degree of professional achievement and peer recognition, independent evaluation, and peer review. Only 5 percent of all attorneys in the two states combined were selected.

The choice of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely on advertisements.
